Design Guidelines

The design guidelines for Point Hope are intended to create architectural and site planning guidance for Point Hope’s neighborhoods and commercial areas. The guidelines are enforced by the DRB as well as the City’s zoning regulations. They are intended to help ensure that the community develops in an orderly and cohesive manner and in accordance with the comprehensive Master Plan and City of Charleston requirements for Point Hope.

The Design Review Process

The Design & Use Review Board meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month to review new residential and commercial projects being proposed and constructed within Point Hope and modification requests from existing property owners. Application requirements are listed on the downloadable documents below. Complete submittals must be received no later than 5 pm on the Friday prior to the meeting to be added to the agenda.
