Spring Landscaping Updates Around Point Hope

With warmer temperatures arriving and much-needed rain finally making its way to the Lowcountry, Point Hope is looking greener by the day. Seasonal landscape maintenance efforts are underway throughout the community as crews continue working to keep shared spaces healthy, beautiful and well-maintained.

Here are a few recent landscaping updates happening throughout Point Hope:

  • Fresh pine straw has been installed throughout many community landscape beds, with only a few areas remaining.

  • Ornamental grasses in the front entry medians were recently cut back and are responding well with healthy new growth.

  • Turf fertilization is now underway as rising soil temperatures allow treatments to be applied more effectively.

  • Shrub pruning efforts are ramping up and will continue through the fall season.

  • The use of Suppress, a non-toxic herbicide, is being used throughout park areas as part of ongoing landscape maintenance efforts.

  • With recent rain across the Charleston region, ant activity has increased. Landscape crews are continuing regular mound treatments throughout the community.

Keeping Point Hope beautiful is a shared effort. While maintenance crews work hard to care for the community’s parks, trails and common areas, residents are encouraged to help preserve the beauty of the neighborhood by properly disposing of trash, especially cigarette litter and dog waste, in designated receptacles throughout the community.
